We are coming to France this week, but for the first time we are thinking of crossing the channel instead of flying. Any recommendations would be appreciated for the cheapest crossings for 3 adults and a car?

My suggestion is to use a ferry comparison site like thecheapferries to compare and find the latest ferry offers on all UK`s top ferry routes.

You can find all the latest deals from MyFerryLink, DFDS Seaways, Brittany Ferries and PO Ferries in one place.

The best tip to enjoy the cheapest ferry crossing is to book your tickets in advance online as cross channel ferries get very busy during the peak seasons.

Dover to Calais would be an ideal choice for you and I have a very good travel experience on the Dover-Calais route for the past two years.

The two main advantages of using this route is that it is the shortest ferry route taking only 1 hour and 50 minutes and for some reason if you miss your ferry, there is usually another ferry service ready in an hour.

MyFerryLink and DFDS Seaways are offering exciting Dover Calais ferries to France offers which are ideal for you.
